The cloud is a place for of wonder. All data being are stored in the cloud. Some of these data are used in a manner we don't want to. There is no hundred percent that data in the cloud are secure. Because guys, bad guys, are so good in what they are doing.

Here's 3 simple things you can do to protect your privacy online:
1. Know your audience
You don't know who, what and where your information can be uploaded to. And if social media, it is public. Even though you made it private, there are people who knows the way in. They are just click away from knowing you.
2. Important information must be kept hidden.
Information like you real name, address, credit card number, birthday are some of your important information. Leaking these info might be used danger and will give you risk.
3. Connecting public is also a danger
Public connection is an open door for any threat. Your activities online can be observe through your ISP. Especially when you connect to your email, back or any private account in a public place. VPN's are a vital part for protecting your privacy.

This is so true. Especially now that identity theft is so common. We really have to learn to protect ourselves.

ReplyDeleteSharing pictures also... Parents should be very careful about posting photos of their babies (like potty training,photos of them being sick), because yeah, these babies will grow up and they wont want to be hounded by that potty training picture.

Huhu this is so true. Someone stole my photos before, used them and pretended to be me. Ever since then, I started taking privacy measures. But I do have a question, how do you know when enough is enough? Especially for bloggers? I mean since we are known for sharing a lot. :-/
